hi all
after we added hard disks and also cd now our computer is ready to work but it’s need the suitable operating system there are many operating systems for computers . there are windows the most famous and most lovely for many people there also unix and many other operating systems .
also google released it’s operating system a few months ago it’s looks like unix i think , any way i did not use it until this moment .

but i will explain how to install microsoft windows you will ask me which version i will explain ofcourse i will not explain how to install windows 3.11 but also i will not explain how to insatll windows vista , so what i will tell you?
i really like windows XP it’s amazing version of windows and about 60% of microsoft windows users like it more than any other versions of windows .
let’s start ….
turn your computer on and wait untill it finish it’s post (power on self test) now your computer is going to load operating system but your Original windows Cd you can get it from any of microsoft certified distributors it’s easy to find them at all countries i think.
put it at your CD if your hard disk did not partitioned yet it will start boating from the CD but don’t add any floppy disks in it’s drive if it’s not load restart your computer and try to enter your mother board sitting it’s not have one way to enter some machines enter mother board setup by pressing DEL that’s the most famous method but that’s not all , also a huge number of machines use F2 to enter setup like DELL computers and many other brands but IBM use F1 to enter it’s setup finally Compaq uses f10 to enter it’s setup .
any way look at the bottom of the screen it will type press …… to enter setup after you open it find the boating line ad choose your CD as the first boat device . then save changes and restart your computer it will start now .
Press any key to boot from CD.
you will see this message now you are in the correct way press any key to start setup you microsoft windows XP look at the pictures

look at down you will see Enter =continue and R= repair and f3 = quit
press enter because it’s the first time we install microsoft windows on this machine

now we can see the license agreement read it carefully and if you accepted it press f8 if you don’t accept it easily turn off your computer !!!

you will see you capacity of your hard disk it you don’t like to make many partitions just press enter if you like to make partitions press C

then enter the size of your first partition and press enter

you will see it created a partition and called it C partition

enter the size of the other partitions and press enter as you made in the first one
that’s the most easy and effective way to partition your hard disk

then choose your suitable part to install windows in , the most suitable part is the (c) partition it’s called the active partition but you can choose other partitions if you like . but i prefer C so i will install in it.

now your computer ask you to format your C partition and choose the way of formatting choose the first one NTFS and quick is good also so the first choice it good.
but if you like to install another old operating system of windows choose fat file system like windows 98 and millennium.

now your computer is going to format your C part and make it ready for installation

now you can say it started !!! it’s coping the windows files now wait until it finish and it will restart your computer or you can restart it yourself. but when it finish copying.

your computer restarted now note : your computer will boat again from Cd and you will see the same message again “Press any key to boot from CD.…”
now wait until it load your windows for the first time

as you see that’s the first menu you see in installation you can press next if you use only English language or press customize to allow your computer to add any other languages .

type your name and your organization if it’s existed then pres next.

add your serial number which came with your windows CD it will be 25 letters with numbers also add it then press next.

you can add a password if you like to your machine but dont add it now untill you know about your windows you can add it later any way.

now choose your area zone and your time and press next key.

don’t change any thing unless now and press next .

press next you will know later what is this :d

then wait until your computer restart and get ready to open your new computer.

hi again ,

did you open your machine? you will see it started reading the components of the machine testing processor , ram, and also read and drivers installed in your machine .
this may take 5 to 10 seconds depending on you machine model and your motherboard setup .

then your machine will try to load our operating system opps…
we did not add any hard disks or cd roms so there is no operating system at our machine turn your machine down again and plug your hard disk and your cd rom

Hard disk
the hard disk is a device to store your data this data will still stored at your disk even if you lost the power or you disconnect it .

it contains many ways of connection the most famous connectors are : IDE data connector , sata connector and also scsi connector.
the most used at personal computers are IDE data in the past and now sata

after fixing your suitable hard disk you need to plug a cd rom or cd writer , dvd and also blue tay

CD Rom

Cd rom is a short cut of the word Compact Disk Read Only Memory
ofcourse you don’t need for more information , it’s also connected in sata and data plugs

then add an operating system and start installing it.

computer components “part 1”

i think many of the people know the components of the computer so you will ask why you typed this topic i will tell you wait…. you are not alone, also there are many people still don’t know there are also many people will come to this world and need to know
so i will start this new old topic let’s start:
why we have to know the computer components ?
we know it to try to repair our computers ourselves and don’t have to send our computers to maintenance companies and pay a lot of money also save the time ,and also you can get a new components and add it to your computer or you can collect your new computer finally to have some fun.

Part one the main parts:

we will talk about the mai

n parts of the computers which the computers can not work without them and we will see a pictures to all of that parts also the new technical parts.
these main parts are :(main board- cpu- vga –sound card- ram- hard disk) there are also another parts but your computer can work without these parts like( floppy disk –cd or dvd rom or writer- lan card –modem card)
after we start the description I'd like to tell you about one important matter that is the (Case)
it’s contains many designs but it’s in two shapes only tower or desktop

this case also contains the (Power supply) which gives the power for all the components inside the computer

then lets’ know the main parts
1- the main board :
                             also called the mother board this part all components must be connected to this part it’s looks like the body of the computer and it’s the connection between all of the other parts look at this picture this is a new one of the mother boards:

2- CPU:
           also called processor and CPU means : central processing unit because this part makes all the operations and processes you can say it looks like the brain to the computer without this part the computer will never run
there are two famous companies produce the processors intel and AMD

3-Ram :
             means random access memory when the processor runs any application it needs a good speed to run it so the ram takes the application from any storage device the the processor run this application from that ram
it’s called random because the processor don’t have read all data which stored on this ram it only take the data which he need only that’s the reason of random.

if you connected the processor and ram in the main board you need one thing only to begin showing data on the screen that the vga
4-vga :
           Video Graphics Array this part it’s job is to show the data on screens we connect the monitors to this part to show out the information on the screen it comes i two designs (built in ) and (separate) the build in model is apart of the main board look at the picture to the main board
the separate card is an electronic card fixed into the agp or the pci express slot look at the mother board you will see the pci express slot the agp slot is not used this days

if you connects these parts correctly your computers is ready to run now turn you power on and look at the screen…
